Edited out Cinder, Obsidian, and Savant.
How about if each of us handles one replacement for each character? I've got an idea for a replacement for Savant, and icecap sounds like he wants to do a replacement for Cinder. Think you can do something with Obsidian, Kerevon?

Sorry, but who was Obsidian again? Just asking so I know what qualities need to be in his replacement (not the EXACT same, obviously, just so he fills the same role, much like Sentry fills the same hole as Superman and how practically every female DC character fills the hole for Emma Frost).

As far as I can remember, Obsidian was basically a guy who could transform into a black colored version of The Thing from the FF.

Just remember you don't need to make a pastiche of the original, just something that simulates any qualities that distinguished him/her from the other Guardians we've established.

Also figured out a basic bio for Daybreak (Was thinking about changing his name to Energon), But basicily he is ailen from a planet light years away from Earth. He ends up crash landing on Earth after his plant is invaded. As he crash lands on Earth he is found by the Guardians and once he gains full strength he returns to space only to find out that his planet has been destroyed and that he is the only one of his kind that survied the invasion. With nowhere to go Daybreak heads to (Was thinking about adding a global space team) where he finds out the that race that destroyed his planet is now heading to Earth. After befriending some of the Guardians on his breif stay on Earth, Daybreak returns to Earth to warn them and help fight.

Interesting. My one thing is that it would be awesome if Daybreak was somewhat obviously inhuman. Face tendrils or something would be helpful, although changes in limb shape/number would be nice (such as backwards knees, three legs, or several arms).
I realize that that's kinda weird, but I feel that if you're going to have vaguely humanoid aliens then you should either tie their evolution into that of humanity somehow, explain (competently) how convergent evolution made them so similar, or make it very obvious that they have vastly different genetic histories. The first two are done to death and the last one is kinda fun to play around with.

I have a basic working idea for the Scientist Character for the Guardians. I would personally like to add him to the original core cast, so that we can have seven members instead of six as outlined by icecap.
The essential gist of the character is that he is a genius researcher in chemistry, molecular biology, and nanotechnology who uses his expertise to investigate and combat ecological and technological disasters. He develops a revolutionary nanotechnology with unlimited potential, but a corrupt corporate enemy attempts to arrange his death in order to acquire and use it for his own purposes. He is fatally shot, but uses his technology to save his life, in the process integrating the technology into the injured areas of his body permanently. Now he's on the run, as he's become the world's most wanted man, and yet at the same time it is only his genius that will allow humanity to survive the mega-disasters it brings upon itself with the misuse of technology and abuse of nature.

Omega Man (A scientist who is lead to believe he was brought to Omega Energy Corps to help with the research but once he arrived he ends up becoming a lap rat for the project. Ends up with omega energy fused into his body, outcome gives him super strength and the ability to power himself by absorbing energy.
Basic side notes omega energy is a type of alien energy found by NASA Omega is chosen for his great knowledge of space energies
(Was thinking about making Sparrow’s dad Omega’s arch villain, Rich billionaire does a lot of political work manipulates his way into a lead role with omega energy corps plans to use omega energy to power androids to destroy mutants, magic users, and once the guardians are formed the guardians and the academy)

Lady Mesmerize (A natural born mutant telepath, one of the most powerful born mutants on Earth. Her basic backstory is her powers manifested at an early age. Her telepathic power set leads her to be stalked by government officials and eventually play a role in her being recruited as a spy.

Gonna make the replacement for Cinder Orbit. Will give her academy slot back to Synergy. I orginally tossed Synergy to give Megalass a spot. Is that ok with you guys if Orbit replaces cinder?

The big question in my mind is, why? Why this dude, this scientist? Why does he accept? Why do these people want to turn him into a lab rat? What is the goal? And once he is empowered, what do they want to do with him?
I could easily see this situation as a case where they might use him as a weapon, say mind controlling him with a device that manipulates the Omega energy in him.
Also, what exactly is Omega energy? I know you say its a new form of space energy, but how does it work? Where does it come from? How is it harnessed? Is it like some form of naturally occuring cold fusion? How would they have discovered it?
While I do like this idea, I'm afraid of this character becoming too much of a Lex Luthor clone. Also, given the potential here, we need to set up a story to give this guy some plausibility for why he'd pursue such a program of extermination against all superhumans and the Guardians.
A good cover story is that his company will use Omega energy to develop free, clean energy, and extend it to all forms of transport. He could even rely on Omega Man/The Guardians to stop villains/corporate spies who want to steal it for their own ends, terrorists from oil rich nations/corporations who don't want to go out of business (since such a discovery would completely change the entire global economy), frame the heroes, etc.
You should watch the movie "Scanners." Similar set up there, could help give you ideas. Also, "Akira," but that might be too on the nose.
My only problem with Orbit is that she's a bit too plain for a magic user/psychic, both in terms of the name and design. Is there any way you could spruce her up a bit to make her a bit more msytical/supernatural in her persona, like Dr. Strange?

Alot of great ideas digital lets set up a chat time, when will be the next time you'll be free for one. Your backstory creations are amazing thanks for the help. The story you gave for Omega's villian is great.
And yea i'll spiece up Orbit now that she is a guardian.
