I am vaguely aware that magic DOES seem to be on the menu, but in what manner is it being implemented? For instance, DC seems to have a complex system that boils down to magic more-or-less coming from Gods and godlike beings, but is filtered through some other stuff (such as the Lords of Order and Chaos), whilst the Marvel universe likes to explain it as some form of dimensional energy that can be manipulated by powerful godlike beings.
Basically what I'm driving at is, what IS magic in this universe and what rules will it be bound by? Does magic exist as magic, or is it just really, really, REALLY advanced technology?

Well, I do have an idea for magic, which I am planning on expounding upon, which essentially boils down to Arthur C. Clarke's famous statement that "sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Basically, magic is the art of manipulating the "code" of the universe, akin to a computer programmer.

Coolio. I was actually thinking that that's one of the better ways to go about it... although self-limiting factors would be necessary (in order to prevent someone for wiping out all carbon in the universe when they just wanted to clean their shirt).

Should be easy, especially if the magic process boils down to MATH!
